Leslie Kumar founded NYLA STAR to provide stylish yet attainable jewelry to the cosmopolitan woman. It has been a dream of hers to start a jewelry company and in January 2010, NYLA STAR was born. Her passion for style and design began in the jewelry business when she worked as an account manager and marketing/public relations associate for Lee Angel Jewelry from 2004 to 2007. With an Indian father and Croatian mother, Leslie's collections are influenced by her unique heritage. Originally from Springfield, Illinois, she now resides in Park Slope, Brooklyn with her husband, Jaret.
